Our Schillerviertel summer for “Culture in Motion – Backyards” was officially opened on June 16:
The artist Daniel Arab from Berlin designed a wall for us at Erzberger Straße / corner Grüner Weg. Daniel draws a lot of inspiration from Arabic calligraphy and abstracts the letters freely. Thus, he creates a self-contained composition that is as multilayered and free as the spirit in the Schillerviertel. Two days and a lot of exchange with residents and passers-by later, the design was finished and was ceremoniously inaugurated by the head of the cultural department Susanne Völker. Our two partner projects were also present: Oliver Bartelds from the Urban Art Osnabrück e.V. association, which organizes the famOS festival for urban art, and Volker Heisener from Secret City in Paderborn. Thank you very much for the nice day!
